Xpress Service Creation Environment

Telecommunications networks are today in the process of changing, converging, and being remade more radically than at any time in their previous 135 year history. Wireline, wireless, and cable networks - which have traditionally been different in terms of their components and protocols — are converging to utilize similar signaling and media handling approaches, and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is at the center of it all as the predominant next-generation signaling protocol. With support for mobility, all media types, and its similarity to traditional web protocols like HTTP, SIP is a service-friendly signaling protocol upon which all next-generation telecommunications services will be built in the future.

The Xpress Service Creation Environment (SCE) is a Windows-based GUI application that allows users to quickly and easily create multimedia communication services for next generation IMS, converged TDM/ IP, or pure VoIP networks.

The PT SIP Services solutions set provides the service creation and service deployment products that carriers need to rapidly build and deploy SIP-based services. The product set includes a graphical service creation environment (SCE), an extensible and highly scalable application server (SIP Xpress Server), and a high performance software-based media server capable of IVR and conferencing. With these products, carriers can quickly create and deploy the new media-rich applications that subscribers are looking for from next-generation networks.
