PT’s Xpress portfolio of products includes SIP-based applications and enabling infrastructure targeted toward service providers deploying Next-Generation Network (NGN) architectures. With the adoption of voice-over-packet architectures by both wireless and fixed line service providers—and the emergence of SIP as the predominant signaling protocol on these networks—new opportunities are unveiled for service providers to market media-rich and Web-friendly applications to subscribers.
A pre-built, real-time call rating application includes both pre-paid and post-paid billing capabilities deployable in many value-added service offerings. Examples include Xpress Prepaid/Postpaid, a subscriber billing application that authenticates based on calling number, and a corporate billing application that aggregates individual usage. Service providers can automatically detect suspected telemarketers and apply the subscriber-selected treatment to them using the Telemarketer Guard application, and the Network Cost Optimization application allows enterprise and government organizations to dramatically reduce toll charges.
